Andrea Loh

Andrea is a Northern California based attorney with more than 15 years of legal experience.  She is passionate about helping her clients navigate the legal system and protecting their rights. Andrea has advised individuals, small businesses, and large corporate clients on a range of employment law issues.  As a skilled negotiator, she genuinely enjoys working with people to find solutions to difficult problems.  In addition to handling litigation matters, she counsels clients on creative measures designed to avoid the costly aspects of litigation.

Andrea is a Super Lawyers Rising Star (awarded to 2.5 percent of nominated attorneys in California).  She has been a member of the Northern California Super Lawyers list since 2017.

Andrea grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.   While in law school, she was selected to be a member of the Michigan Law Review and served as a Notes Editor and Board member.  She subsequently published an article discussing lessons learned from big tobacco industry litigation.

Andrea began her legal career with Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she gained a wealth of experience while working on a diverse array of complex civil litigation and employment matters. Andrea later joined Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP, a well-regarded boutique litigation firm.  Andrea represented plaintiffs in complex litigation matters and led a team in conducting a confidential internal investigation.  In addition, she created and presented educational programming on employment law issues and successfully represented a number of pro bono clients.

Andrea was twice selected to be a federal district court law clerk. After graduation from law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Beverly B. Martin, Northern District of Georgia. Andrea later returned to the federal judiciary as a law clerk for the Honorable Frederic Block, Eastern District of New York.  In this capacity, Andrea gained employment law experience while working on a variety of cases ranging from wage and hour disputes to protected class discrimination cases.  During each of her federal court clerkships, Andrea obtained unique insight into the private judicial decision-making process.  These experiences have proven to be an invaluable asset to her effectiveness as a lawyer.

Andrea is committed to giving back to the local Bay Area community.  She previously volunteered with Legal Aid at Work – The Employment Law Center as well as Legal Assistance to the Elderly.  She is currently a Co-Chair of the Asian American Bar Association’s Solo/Small Firm Committee.  Andrea has been an active member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Asian American Bar Association, the San Francisco Trial Lawyer’s Association, and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, reading, outdoor cycling, and hiking.
